The best BOWL-A-RAMA in recent memory

General Pants BOWL-A-RAMA Bondi 2016 showcased the next generation of bowl-riding prodigies with the likes of Cory Juneau and Tom Schaar taking on Bondi Bowl's proven performers in Bucky Lasek, Pedro Barros, and Rune Glifberg.

Bucky Lasek was victorious on the day, stringing together unbelievable lines and an array of technical tricks on his way to a second consecutive Pro title. It wasn't without a challenge though, as young Tom Schaar pushed Bucky to the limit with his flawless style and broad bag of tricks, proving that he's not just a vert and megaramp skater. Cory Juneau rounded out the podium, most notably hucking monster 540s with absolute consistency, while also hitting the hips and corners like a seasoned veteran.

Tony Hawk was dominant in the Masters' division, securing a third consecutive title. He was pushed by long-time friend and BOWL-A-RAMA favourite Pat Ngoho, who claimed his best ever finish in 2nd, while Australian legend Renton Millar came home with 3rd place in his first ever Masters' appearance. Young local Ryan Helm took out the Juniors' division, showcasing his hometown knowledge and supreme talent, while 10-year-old Ethan Copeland, the youngest ever BOWL-A-RAMA competitor, proved he is one of Australia's brightest young talents with a 3rd place finish against much older competitors in the Juniors' division.

BOWL-A-RAMA Bondi always delivers a brilliant spectacle, but this year's edition was the closest and most competitive in recent memory. There's no doubt that the likes of Tom Schaar and Cory Juneau will aim to knock Bucky off his perch come 2017, while Pedro Barros, himself only 20, will undoubtedly be chasing the crown that he held for over 5 years. This is why General Pants BOWL-A-RAMA Bondi is one of the best skateboarding competitions in the world. Hit play and enjoy the full recap reel.
