World’s Fastest Hill Bomb

Mach 10 in the San Fran hills

In the midst of contests like Street League and the X-Games, this comes as an epic refresher. Skaters in San Francisco have been fanging down the city's glorious hills for decades, and the crew at Snack Skateboards, a local brand, decided it was time a contest was held. The aim: to go as fast as humanly possible down Dolores Street, one of the steepest and smoothest streets in the Bay Area.

The footage is nothing short of incredible, as this highlight reel demonstrates. Terrell Newell came through with the win, but many weren't quite as lucky. "Thrills and spills" is a pretty apt description of what you'll see in this video – and before anyone blows up, the local police department apparently supported the event. We have no idea how or why, but that's pretty sick. They know what's up out in San Fran.
