Full highlights and results from Arrigunaga Beach

As the sun settles on Arrigunaga Beach, Getxo, celebrations mark a day of insane bowl shredding, at the inaugural Volcom BOWL-A-RAMA Getxo 2014.

Legendary pool skaters at Pat Ngoho edged out the competition, to emerge the winner of the Volcom BOWl-A-RAMA MASTERS title. Crowds erupted in applause as the Master thrashed the bowl flawless final runs.

19 year-old Volcom and Red Bull rider Pedro Barros continued his winning streak, landing the Volcom BOWL-A-RAMA PRO title, followed closely by Alex Sorgente and local rider Danny Leon.

While Felipe Foguinho and Omar Hassan blew everyone away tying in the Pro-Tec best trick contest and split the 500EURO.

”That was amazing! I have to thank Volcom, Getxo, Pro-Tec, Red Bull, Kako's Skate Shop, Iluna Bar, Algorta Skate Club and all of the friendliest and coolest locals you could ever meet. I really am struggling for words; first year to have the level of support from the riders and the community that we did was beyond comparison. It all showed in the skating. You have to come to Getxo and ride the bowl. Only then will you have any idea how completely gnarly the level of skating was. We're all at the after party planning next year right now. See you then.” Says Chad Ford, Frontside Events Director,

The week dedicated to La Kantera skateboard culture was jam-packed of events, including old school skate sessions, backyard barbeques, live music and art shows.

“I want to come back to Getxo since this is my first time here! Alain, Jaime, Kako and many other friends that we made have made the vibe and also asked me to come back. I’m glad that BOWL-A-RAMA, Volcom, Red Bull, Pro-Tec and everyone else made this special moment happen. It’s not just for me, it is for the locals, for the skateboard and for Basque Country / Spain”
