Headless Skateboarding

by

The weirdest thing you'll see today

We see some pretty strange videos from time to time, but few have left us as simultaneously confused and intrigued as this edit from contemporary artists Fabiano Rodrigues and Akira Shiroma. The video depicts a couple of headless skateboarders attempting to aimlessly navigate their way around some strange areas, and was apparently commissioned by Adidas.

Perhaps the artists themselves can articulate this a little better:

"From Fabiano's obsession with Superman, came the connection with the character Bizarro, this enemy from a parallel universe where everything is inverted, strange and pointless.

"Imagine two skateboard superstars in Bizarro's world. They move in a different way, wearing strange and elegant costumes, and they are headless. Cidade das Artes, the monumental architectural project in Barra neighborhood, became the ideal ghost zone for the production."

Still confused? You're not alone there. Either way, it's worth checking out.
