Just chillin in Vancouver right now. I’ll be back tonight. Can’t believe how much snow I’ve missed out on.

tru dat tru…

well today i got out a hunted as much pow as i could manage on the snowboard.. had a lot of fun, ate it quite a few times hahah but always a soft landing i found it a lot easier than i had expected, last night i moved the bindings back as i figured it would give me more float at the front, seemed to work well.

though this arvo went to do my shopping and lost my key ring.. only key on it was my ski key.. that was locking up my board.

Looked for a while. gave in and went to guest relations who sent maintenance guy down with a battery drill to drill it out,

- had a good day.  need do go riding with someone again soon. smile

Rider’s Blog: Day 49

Day 49 of riding this season was at Hudson Bay Mountain near Smithers, BC. Trip report coming soon.

Rider’s Blog: Day 50

First day back on Whistler Mountain and what a good day it was. I really needed to shake off the ‘I missed 1.5 metres of snow and epic powder days’ blues. I decided the best way to do this was go out early this morning and ride hard all day and have as much fun as I could. As I sit here now, legs finished, and a grin on my face - I think things are back to normal.

It snowed for most the day and the temps have stayed cold. The whole alpine stayed shut on both mountains so it should be awesome when it opens. The forecast is saying more snow all week so I’m pretty stoked for some epic days out there.

I spent the whole day hunting powder in the trees and exploring new areas of the mountain. I rode all over the place and dipped into some trees which I hadn’t before. There’s still so much pow on the mountain and I had no problem finding deep stashes of powder. I mostly rode Red and Garb chairs, although I hit Emerald a couple of times early. I can’t get over how good the cover is; 3.5 metre base and counting - reminds me of how good things were last season. Everything is covered, there are bumps and jumps all over the place, and the snow is super soft. It’s good to be back and I can’t wait to get out there again. I’m going to wax my boards tonight and hit it early tomorrow.

Sounds like a good 1st day back in Whistler, great to hear you got some riding in with this storm - enjoy the alpine when it opens up buddy, no doubt it’ll be insane shaka

Can’t wait to get back to whis now.. Only catch is that I’m working friday-sunday but it looks like theres some good snow on the way early next week so fingers crossed that comes through as I’m loving this bataleon in the powder.

In other news a mate in whis from work hit Air Jordan yesterday so I’m pretty stoked for him as he’s been talking about it all season.

Heres a picture showing the drop which I found on his facebook profile.
