difference between mounting plates 3D disc, 4x4 Disc, RE:flex

got some malavita bindings and sure what the difference is any advice would be great

Hey Damo,

3D is a 3 bolt setup, made for 3D Burton Boards only (old boards no longer in production).

4x4 is the most common. A 4 bolt setup. It will fit most boards.

RE:FLEX 4x4 is exactly the same as a 4x4. But it has a hinge which allows it to flex a little bit nicer with the board.

Yep, Andy has it covered.

To add a bit more info, Burton “Re:Flex” bindings will work on any snowboard: Burton’s channel, 3D, and 4-hole mounting setups.

Good choice with the Malavita’s, great binding.

Heres a picture for reference pointing out which disc is which.

And as for what “Re:Flex” is, it’s just the term that Burton uses. Heres what Burton have to say:
