I bought my dad a D90 last Christmas so he could get into photography. Alas, he was overwhelmed by all the buttons and doesn’t want to travel the world with a ‘bulky’ camera. So he gave it to me smile

I’m going to take it to Whistler for the season, hopefully take some good snaps.

Need to get my hands on Photoshop smile without paying a fortune… :/

wow, that’s some serious gear! what are you shooting in general?  I see you’ve added the 50mm F1.2… Ozgirl would like to hear how that’s going (in the first DSLR three), and I’m jealous of the fisheye. We have the 15mm fisheye and love that, your’s would be awesome!

The 1.2L is great Tambo. It’s a bit tricky at times with focal planes, but I guess that’s what you get with such a wide aperture. It’s incredibly sharp. It’s just as recent as the new body so I’m still playing around with it.

The fisheye is a lot of fun and proves pretty interesting every time I use it. Which isn’t as often as the others - but it’s fun to shoot with. At 8mm you’re getting 180degrees on full frame.

At the moment I’ve just been shooting landscapes and stills. I’ve done quite a bit of snow stuff through the years, nothing like that yet on the 1D.

Thanks guys smile

ozgirl I really don’t think you will be disappointed with the 1.2. What body are you shooting with?

I will say this - do your price hunting. They can be had for some pretty reasonable prices
