From what I have been told, an automatic resizing feature is close to impossible (at least we haven’t worked it out yet), but hopefully the three solutions above should solve the problem anyway.

I agree. That’s why I haven’t been telling people to do it. When I see a huge image I just change the code myself.
Hopefully we will at least get the new button working above very soon. Should make things easier.

But I have found the least painful way of doing it is to pre write a TR in word before posting in BW.
I think teacherboy suggested that and I has worked well. Good to know he is good for something 
Ideas:
List of new/updated threads in like a sidebar location. This places less emphasis on the Social section and allows people to see whats happening in other threads
Better search functionality - List in most recent post order. (When you search for separated, you need to filter through pages to find the S@B thread.)
Updated list of mods - With a good portion of mods no-longer posting/checking and K2 in Whistler, it would be nice to allow other members to help out Spaz and Azz. Especially when the season starts and the posts pick up and Spaz and Azz both heading to the snow regularly.
Haven’t thought of your first idea before. I like it. Only problem is where would we fit it?
Search is being fixed. Annoys the hell out of me too. We are changing the default search to “search in topic names only” so it will give you much more relevant results. Search “separated birth” and it will come straight up. We are also going to make the “advanced search” feature/button more visible/usable. Do you think that should solve the problem?
I will be changing the moderators list before the new site launches. Definitely doing this soon.
I’m sure we’ve had a thread for ideas for the “new” boardworld before around a year ago.
My two main requests remain:
* A more discrete theme option for the forums so it doesn’t scream out “I’m not working” everytime someone walks past my screen.
* Some form of automatic resizing of images
The top point is a main priority. Things have taken a lot longer than expected but I promise you will see a much cleaner forums section when the new site drops. We are also attempting to build a “I am at work” feature which will clean it up even further. We haven’t forgotten and it’s still a top priority. I thank you for being patient.

Can’t you just replace the current <img> Button Function, that shows up in Post Reply & Edit Post Windows, with the 800 Pixel Code?????

Yep this one is an even better idea. I have pretty much stalled on my current trip report because I got sick of having to resize my photos individually in photobucket first….
For the tagging people one maybe you could have the ability to turn it off on your profile settings? or only have one active tag in a thread at a time? would be better to send it to my BW inbox not my email.
I like the idea of having the notification within Boardworld. I don’t know how well PMs would work (would probably get as annoying as emails). My idea is we have a little area up the top (maybe in red or a colour that stands out), similar to the Facebook notification feature, which will say something like “You have been tagged in 6 new posts” or something like that. You click on it and maybe a list drops down with links and previews to the posts you have been tagged in.
I guess we could also possibly send an email or a PM when a notification has been sitting there for more than a week unchecked.
What do you guys think? Obviously this is a big feature and would take a while to code and get working perfectly. I will have to ask nacho if it is even possible on the platform we run.

Mizu, we could but that would stretch out smaller images, making them pixelated. The best option is to just add another button for larger images. What you think?
I think we should follow ski.com.au and limit the number of exclamation points that can be used per post..

Don’t know if there is a thread or what but a sticky thread from someone who makes stickers etc would be good and people could get custom stickers made. I don’t know there already could be someone on the forum that can, if so let me know
What sort of stickers are you looking for? Regular sticker or die-cuts? I can definitely recommend some people. As far as I’m aware, I don’t know if any of our members make custom stickers. Maybe someone can correct me?
If you want some Boardworld stickers, let me know and I can send you some.
Also, feel free to start a new thread about this. I would be happy to give some recommendations in there.

Ummm I was thinking maybe less graphic intense. The wallpaper images are a bit full on or maybe even some fresh ones. Rider26 you could make some with your new fresh design skills :D More rounded edges on every thing less block looking. I like the 5 colours though.
New website is have a complete graphic overhaul. Out with the old, in with the new. We will always keep trying to make the site better graphically. I am already thinking of new designs past the new website. I want simple, clean and effective.
It’s being refined but this will give you a rough idea of the style of the new site. No crazy backgrounds either. Going to keep it simple.
Let me know your thoughts.
