New Park Under Construction - Croydon, VIC
I just found this out and I’m super stoked! Just round the corner from my work there is a new Convic Skate Park being built. It is gonna be plaza-ish styled park. Here are some photos/info I took from Croydon Skatepark and Youth Space’s Facebook page.

1 - 1800 H ¼ Pipe Extension
2 – 20 degree 750 H bank to platform
3 - 300 H Split level and adjoining 3 stair with low flat rail
4 - Entry and turning area for change of direction with 450 H taco
5 - 300 H Ledge
6 - 450 H Flat Ledge with seat pocket
7 – 450 H Ledges
8 – Flat Rail
9 - Increased area for turning between acute corner
10 - 250 H Manual Pad blended to 600 H taco corner
11 - Entry
12 - 450H Split level with 500H Hubba and fly out ledge
13 - 1200 H Mini Ramp with one Enclosed Bowl End, with steep bank extensions (1800 H)
14 - Low ¼ pipe section to maintain flow but to allow views into mini ramp from road
15 - Mini can be used separately as a 6000mm back and forth section, as a return or as a flow section from side to side and around enclosed section.
16 – More skateable ledges, blocks and drop offs are incorporated into the design of the hard and soft court areas. Protective angle coping will be used on designated areas

It is under construction right now and apparently should be completed by end of Feb if the weather doesnt interfere too much

Oh fu- That is awesome. Definitely gonna get down there when it opens. Can imagine that being pretty packed for the first few weeks though..

Went for a walk last night past the construction site after work. Progress is looking good. Should be done by the end of the month.
Looks like there is gonna be heaps of skatable space with good flow. Bowl/mini ramp looks like it will be rad.
