Wow… I go to town for a few hours and come home to find this place has gone bonkers… well more so than it already was. Can I just say that is one of THE BEST trip reports I have ever read. i aspire to write with such fluency and flair; will try my best to emulate your good work when i return from my trip 
San Francisco/Tahoe/Vegas Trip Report PART 1
Ok well,
Flew Air NZ from Melbourne to Auckland, hour stopover then Auckland to LA on 19th December. Was pretty cool flying out of Melbs at 11am on the 19th and landed in LA @ 10am on the 19th! Not going to lie, the flight over killed me. i couldnt sleep on the plane at all..i napped everyday for the first 3 days.
SF
First stop was in SF for the 49ers VS Steelers game, had bought tickets back in June with a mate from work to see this game.
So our seats were pretty damn good (cost $400 each roughly).
Had a blast! prior to this i half liked NFL, thought it went to long/ too many stoppages/ takes too long. The atmosphere at the game was insane! easily the loudest, most vocal crowd i have seen (louder than the Collingwood VS Hawthorn semifinal last year which i thought would be harder to top).The thing that most blew me out was the tailgate party, when we first flew over SF at around 2pm i could see the carpark was full at Candlestick Park with ppl drinking, bbqing etc. This country know how to throw a party!

After the game we went to check out Union Square where there was an ice skating rink set up with a massive Christmas tree;
We were only in SF for the night, had a flight to Reno at 8am so went to bed fairly early after the game (mind you it didnt finish till 11pm)
TAHOE
Picked up our SUV from reno airport (2012 Chevy Tahoe…BOSS!);
missus standing at the front of it at Kirkwood to emphasise the height of the bonnet.
Cruised in South Lake Tahoe around 4pm on the 20th Dec;
Checked into our hotel/lodge and this was the view from our balcony;
Not a bad view if i do say so myself…
So when we got to Tahoe, they hadn’t had any snow in like a week. Since we had season passes to Kirkwood we went there at first.
It sucked balls…HARD! 2 lifts open, icy as shit and generally not fun for my missus(who is still learning sort of).
After 2 days some of my mates had arrived on their contiki tour, so we played some beer pong at one of the casino’s;
Then went to the Mont Bleu Casino for $1 drinks…let me tell you that it was hella fun (and a side note, one of my main loves for this country is the fact the bartenders don’t use measuring shots etc. they free pour. Now we were thinking “oh yeah, dollar drinks the drinks will be dogsh!t weak etc.”
Well no, we were wrong. No lie every drink tasted like it was close to 50-50 mix of vodka and lemonade. Good times were had by all(i have some photos of the few nights we went out in Tahoe, but most, if not all of them are NSFW due to either a)strippers/pole dancers in the background or b)the topless girl getting body painted is in the background or c) they are just incriminating for the people in them!
The next day was hell for me and my mates…so damn hungover. We trekked up to Heavenly and rode that, was mostly man made snow but damn it was pretty good! easily better than any snow we have over here. Next night it was girls drink free at the Mont Bleu so my missus got loose as and didnt ride the next day…weak!
Seen this kid up at Kirkwood;
This is the main water fountain near the Heavenly gondola, looked awesome due to the frozen outer part of the water, but the fountain was still running underneath it. if i was on acid i woulda sat there for hours!
Missus shot this after a hard day riding at Heavenly, just prior to this i was hitting up the park building confidence…until i ate sh!t on a down rail. So i called it quits and started drinking;
At the top of Heavenly looking down to Lake Tahoe;
Its freaky how, when you look left you see snow and lake, then you look right and its desert.
Caught up with Michael AKA Nthbeachesguy and his missus. Rode with him at Northstar for a few days, park was awesome. Snow conditions weren’t the best but acceptable. Some of the black/blue runs we were doing off the backside would have been awesome if there was a few feet of snow/pow. Was way too steep to comfortably ride them when they were as icy as they were. We were busting lil 3’s off some side hits and decided to try them on the bigger jumps, Michael started landing them. Me not so much! (the day prior i had smashed my knee caps into a rail so my legs were sore enough as it was, the falls from attempting the 360 was the final nail in the coffin and i called it a day on the 3 attempts)

PART 2 TAHOE & VEGAS

On the last day in Tahoe we went and checked out Fallen Leaf Lake, this place is amazingly beautiful and i implore anyone who goes to Tahoe to check it out. if it was covered in snow i probably would have not left the place;
VEGAS
Well, i dont know what i can say about the place that hasn’t already been said.
It is simply another planet, like nothing i have experienced prior. We landed there about 9pm on the 29th, by the time we got into out hotel room (which was gangsta);
and got our bags up it was around 10:30pm and my missus was feeling sick. So since my mates had already booked a table at The Bank nightclub i went out to meet them whilst the girl stayed in the hotel room.
I get to the Bank and the line is massive (was around 11:30pm), well screw this im VIP b!tches so i worm my way to the front and tell them my name and i get ushered through. The looks on peoples faces were priceless!
i walk through the club with an usher, he walks me past the general section into the VIP section to our table.
I am greeted by my mates, 6 random girls all bumping and grinding on them and a table full of booze.
Upon asking my mates who these girls were, they replied “no idea man, the security guard brings us girls. when we get sick of them he boots them out for us and gets us new girls” I tell you i was amazed and slightly sceptic until i saw it in action, i told the guard to get rid of the girls and get some more for my mates.
Once i saw the cleanout in action i lost my sh!t, was hell funny watching the girls get walked out of our section, they were so confused…
Next few days were pretty much the same, wake up late. do a little bit of sightseeing then drink sh!tloads and went out again.
The first 3 nights in Vegas cost me around 3 grand but it was worth it. had so much damn fun and will gladly do it again. Planning to head to Miami and Vegas in June/July 2013.
I don’t have many, if any photos from our nights out i can post up. Most are NSFW, some are incriminating for mates so im keeping those close to my chest haha.

We had tickets for UFC 141 Brock Lesnar VS Alistair Ovareem @ MGM Grand
Was awesome, most fights were fairly average, but the last few were crackers!
Nose bleed section seats but we were close enough we could still see the action with out having to look at the screens.

We booked a table at Ghost bar (56th floor of the palms hotel) about 4 months ago for New Years.
To be honest it was the sh!ttest table we had all trip. but what can you do.
The booze we get, we went through that 2 litre bottle and bought another…for $900

Went and checked out the grand canyon on the 2nd last day, i wasnt that keen to go to be honest but..missus wanted to.
Its pretty damn spectacular, i know its called teh GRAND canyon. But sh!t me it is massive! you got a real perspective of it when your at the bottom of it (got a chopper from the west rim to the bottom, then cruised the river on a boat, then chopper back up top)

This was a cable car hub that used to be used to transport bat droppings out of a cave down by the water to be sent away to make fertiliser, until a fighter jet flew to low and clipped the wires, it hasnt be used since obvioulsy lol
This bloke was insane in my books, i could only get about 1 metre from the edge (sh!t scared of heights)
Dont know why i cant embed my youtube vids? if anyone can fix them that would be awesome…
