BURTON SNOWBOARDS ANNOUNCES THE 11TH ANNUAL CATTLEMAN’S RAIL JAM

Burton Snowboards is pleased to announce the return of Australia’s premier snowboarding rail event, the Burton Cattleman’s Rail Jam, Saturday July 9th.

For the 11th consecutive year, Australia’s best snowboarders will descend on Mt Buller to compete under lights for a share of $10,000 worth of cash and prizes.

Since 2006, the Cattleman’s Rail Jam has showcased the best snowboarding talent in the country, with a decade-long legacy of progression and career defining moments. In 2016, a brand new competition format will offer the chance for Australia’s best up-and-coming snowboard talent to feel the full Cattleman’s experience, with qualifiers taking place for the first time on the actual stair-set itself.

From 2pm, the Mt Buller Village square will transform into a qualification battleground, with a qualification jam on a refined Cattleman’s rail set up, featuring live music, entertainment and plenty of giveaways. The top 10 qualifiers from the day’s heats will then compete against previous competition winners, including four-time champion Jye Kearney, for a share of the $10K prize pool. Finals kick off at 6pm with free entry, giveaways and more.

Riders can register for qualifiers at 1pm, Saturday, July 9th at the Burton tent in Village Square, however spots are limited to 60.

The famed Burton Cattleman’s after party will be held at Mt Buller’s Kooroora Hotel from 8:30pm
