Estelle Balet killed in avalanche

Not sure if anybody else saw this but it’s pretty awful:

She recently won the World Freeride Tour in Verbier for the second year running.  Apparently she had all the safety gear including ABS and beacon but it wasn’t enough to save her.

A sobering reminder to everyone…
