Update to user tagging - notifications when user tag is quoted

Hey guys,

Just a quick update. We’ve fixed what we feel if probably an annoying issue for our users. User tagging is a great feature we integrated a while ago. The problem is when someone is tagged, then that tag is quoted in another post, the user will get another email notification.

For example, if someone tags me in a post, and I quote that post, I will receive a notification for my own post saying I’ve been tagged in my post. We wanted to prevent that from happening, and we took it one step further to ignore all user tags within a quote.

Basically, we’ve changed the rules so you will only get a notification if you are tagged in a new post. Any user tags that fall within “quote” tags, will be ignored and you will not receive a notification.

What do you think? Is this a better solution?
