Technine Lucas Magoon
If you have ever seen Lucas ride, the first thing you notice (besides his get-up) is his superior board control. He has an amazing ability to hop up on a rail and do anything he wants. When designing this board with Lucas, we kept in mind all of the elements that support his riding style. Soft, light,strong, as much pop as possible—these were just a few of the qualities Lucas wanted. We started with a perfect true twin shape and kept it light and strong by using the WDT9/Wood Hybrid technology. For added pop we applied carbon and Kevlar to the wood core. The Gooner pro also features Technine’s first ever edge damping system. Located along the edge from insert to insert, this impact resistant rubber helps absorb rail impact while increasing edge control. Lucas’s good friend Charles Gordan did the art, which features a top sheet caricature of Gooner chasing down his Yucky Charms. Why the Spoon on the base? Lucas thought it would be sick when people see him riding a giant gold spoon around the mountain.
