Cardrona is renowned for being NZ’s fun and friendly mountain.  Nestled high in the Crown Range, Cardrona is easily accessible from both Queenstown and Wanaka.  Cardrona is well known for its friendly staff and wide open slopes that are perfect for beginners, intermediates and kids, whilst the Arcadia and Tulips chutes offer extra challenge for more advanced riders. Cardrona is extremely popular with families thanks to four Kids Centres that cater for those aged from 3 months to 14 years. With consistently good weather and reliable snow conditions Cardrona makes skiing and snowboarding a fun and easy experience. Let Cardrona take your breath away with views that stretch all the way from Queenstown to Lake Wanaka.

Cardrona is also home to New Zealand’s premier terrain parks with up to four half pipes, including NZ’s only Olympic standard 22ft Halfpipe, a gravity cross and a range of beginner freestyle features. In 2009 the eyes of New Zealand and the world will be focused on Cardrona as we play host to the Southern Hemisphere’s most prestigious events; the Burton Open, the NZ Freeski Open, the World Cup Half Pipe and the Winter Games.

Cardrona is an easy 60min drive (58km) from Queenstown over the Crown Range.  The route to Cardrona takes in NZ’s highest road through an area rich in gold mining history.  With breathtaking views the journey itself should not be missed.  For those staying in Wanaka Cardrona is even more accessible with a drive time of only 35mins.
