Hey guys,

I have a Smith Intrigue helmet which I tried the flat skull candy headphones with, and see they can now get headset kits which replace the ear things. My vents don't close properly though (the switch was broken when I bought them), and it is becoming painful, so I though maybe I should get a new helmet with an integrated audio system...if there is one...thoughts?

There are quite a few helmets that come with audio kits already integrated into the helmet (Red, Giri, Smith are some). Some brands like Giro and Smith also have add-on kits which work with their helmets.

I'm actually surprised that there arent any more companies making after market audio set ups.
Helmet companies should contract with one audio supplies to make them for the season's helmets.

I've been thinking about getting a helmet myself, and wondering if it's worth getting one with audio.

I've never taken tunes with me. Do you guys find tunes a distraction? Or does it get you amped up?

I don't ride with tunes often, but when I do I find it keeps me more focused. For me, it's not that it amps me up or anything like that, but rather it blocks out external distractions and helps me concentrate on one thing - riding. It also makes the chairlift ride go a bit quicker. wink

i love riding with tunes man. its great. gets ya into the rhythm of just riding.. but just not too loud cos u cant hear wats going on round ya or hear mates then...

but guessing, an integrated audio helmet sounds really good.. chords can be annoying-ish but not bad if u have one of those pockets made for mp3's... so tis up to u mate : )
