HOW TO POST PHOTOS ON THE FORUMS:

Please make sure the maximum size of posted images is 800 pixels wide.

To attach any image from a website - right click on the image and select 'Properties'.

There you will see the address (URL) of the image. Copy the URL.

On the forums, type:

[.img]paste-the-URL-address-here[/img] - without the dot (.) in the first bracket

OR...

You can click POST REPLY instead of QUICK REPLY. Then click the <.img> button (located just above the message body area). It will automatically type the image tags for you. Then just put the image URL between the two tags.

OR...

Paste the URL into the forums, highlight the URL, then click the <.img> button (located just above the message body area).

HOW TO UPLOAD AN IMAGE TO THE INTERNET:

To upload any image at 800 pixels, go to http://www.imageshack.us (here you can upload images for free without registering).

Select 'resize image' and click '800 x 600'

Upload your image, click on your image, right click on the image, select properties, get the image URL and post here.

You can also manually change the size of your image on Photoshop or any other editing program.

You can also click 'QUOTE' on this reply to see how I have used the [img] tags to post the below image.

I think that this might need updatin?????

I just came across a Vimeo clip that had more than what was needed in it's tag string, and Youtube vids have almost every one like that also these days!!!!!

eg Youtube= only the bit between the "=" and the "&" is needed for the embed function!!!!!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to put this out there for everyone.

If you post a really big image that considerably breaks the frame of the page, there's a little code we can use to edit the size of the image without re-uploading.

Just edit your post and where you see the URL between the [IMG] tags... take the URL and place it in the following code:

Click 'quote' to see the above code I've used. Alternatively, there is a screenshot of the code below.

We will soon have an actual button for doing this, as we upgrade the website in the coming weeks/months, but for now I just wanted to let you guys know. If you post a huge image and can be bothered, please swap the code over (this will really help the moderators).

Thank you. smile

You can upload anywhere. Just get the image URL and use the same [IMG] tags. If the image is bigger than 800 pixels wide, just use the code below (swap your image URL you see below for your image URL).
