I’m considering a short trip to Hakuba early March but am not sure if it is worthwhile being so late in the season.

Has anyone been to Japan in March? is it still winter? conditions are….?

Hey bro, i was actually in hakuba for about 10-12 days at the end of march and beginning of april. Spent some time at Hakuba 47 and Tsugaike but was mainly at Happo-One. Had freshies 3 or 4 days which was awesome and up the top of the mountains conditions were great. As you got lower down it got quite slushy and patchy, especially after a couple of days without snow. I would imagine early March will still be pretty good. Happo-one had a decent park at about mid-mtn which they maintained well. 47 had a small pipe and ok park that wasn’t as well maintained but still fun! bpizzy I’ve got some pics up from Japan on FB…check em out!

Thanks for the awesome info beast.

Unfortunately my potential go date has been pushed back a bit and I’m not convinced it’s worth traveling o/s from aus for spring boarding.

Where is it winter mid-March?
