Hi All, Just wanted to introduce myself and say "HI". Ive recently found myself stuck in Tasmania for the remainder of winter, and was hoping someone could give me the heads up on Ben Lomond for a shread? Cheers. |

Cheers Man, appreciate the reply, yeah, Ive checked out the photo comp, and am really interested as I do a fair bit of photography, just gotta get up into the white to collect some images. Im from up near Newcastle in NSW, and get to Threaders and perisher afew times a year, but stuck in Tassie with work this winter. But brought my board down and hoping to get some turns in while Im here, but really dont know the Tassie snow deal. Been trying to get some snow cams up for Ben Lomond (Im in Hobart and Lomonds up the top 2hrs away) not a problem, but Its a long way to go before getting a heads up. The snow cams only show patches, but I think there old images. When I seen a image on the foto comp site from Lomond posted very recently,it made me think Im not really getting the full picture somehow. Thats why I was hoping to chat to a boarder or skier hows closer and getting amongst it. Itching for a ride, been watching dust covers on Mt Wellington at Hobart and its making me keen. Where r u at, wots u mountain? |

Looks like Tassie just got some massive dumps as well!!!!!!!!! 
Will try the Lomond posters, cheers. I know the gong well, used to do alot of scuba diving and rock fishing from the gong down to jervis bay..... have friends in shell harbour and nowra. We have had snow here (hobart) on and off since I arrived, I wake up each morning looking atMt Wellington, afew days aweek it has snow on the cap. Last night it got a great coating. Its not ridable terrain but, not a good enuf cover for that, plus when it snows on the Mount'n, they block off the road as its icy and dangerous. Im thinking of doing a snowboard instructors coarse next year with Elite in Threders, do u know anything about them? |

thought i'd drop by and introduce myself.
Living in the gong, pushing age 19.
Definitely saddened by the fact i've only snowboarding for one day in my whole life.... but i do surf and skate.

Not a great snowboarder at all, but this season I'll definitely take every chance I get to ride and improve my act.
