Hey guys, it's finally time to vote for the best photo taken this Southern Hemisphere winter season by a Boardworld member. The standard of photography has been exceptionally high, and I thank all of you for participating. The photography contest is going to be an annual event and the prize pack is going to grow considerably for next season.

Just to remind you, the prizes include:

- Big Undie hoodie, t-shirt, hat, and limited edition shoes (one of each item). Styles and sizes of your choice! http://www.bigundie.com

- Skullcandy G.I. headphones

- $250 STM voucher to be used in store or at http://www.stmonline.com.au

Please have a good look at ALL the photos and vote based on merit. We are searching for the Photo of the Season.

We will also be watching out for members registering multiple accounts to vote for their own photos. Please be aware if we find you registering multiple accounts, we will have no option but to remove your photos from the contest.

Voting will end at 11:59pm on Sunday, October 18, 2009.

Here are the finalists...

Rider, im thinking, is there a way to allow 2 votes per person but you cant double up on photos?
I reckon that'll make the competition more exciting anyway because theres so many pictures to vote for but only 1 vote per person.

As far as I know that's not possible. Could be possible, but definately a coding issue I would have to look into. For now we will leave it as is, but I will be sending an email to 1200 Boardworld members in the next few days to encourage them to check out the photos and vote.

You could start another identical thread, this thread being your first vote and the other being your second. Though you can only check for double voting (for the same photo) if the forum stores what a member votes for and run a quick script at the end to check.

also, is there a box that I can tick to vote for the calendar idea? smile

Nudge that's a great idea, that would be very easy to do and it would keep people thinking about boardworld all year round!!!!

Such amazing photos here, it's going to be so hard to choose

Calender please!
Additionally a winter planner for next year. June to Oct long weekends, maybe an online one that particular dates could be added and updated.

Now back to the photo's, how to pick my fav, I'll have to divide them into groups - photoshoped, landscape, action then pick the best based on composition, lighting, exposure, timing.
Or I'll just pick one of my own! Now which one? shut eye

I will get my vote in.
Jeremy I know putting that post together took a while.
Great work to all of you.
Nudge, EvanL, Spaz and f@ttony were consistent favorites.
It is a hard decision.

My season starts soon.
Snow is showing up in the mid-west US, I'm excited. It will still be a month or more before snow arrives here on the east coast.
