Hey guys,

I'm working on a project at the moment aimed at targeting film makers who don't currently study film, but love shooting/editing/all things film related.

I need some idea's on what area's around Aus have the best demographic to run a free workshop with the filmers and producers of bra boys. If you have any idea's on groups, uni's, or forums to channel this through then post away!

The idea of the workshop will be to give punter filmers an idea about feature films, producing, sports cinematography etc.

Thoughts?

Cheers

I love the idea, Cam. I would be interested in coming along for sure.

What about partnering up with some boardstores?

Yeah yeah, I'll put the idea to the office and see what their thoughts are. Its in the testing the water sort of phase right now, but that would definitely attract the right sort of crowd

I'd be keen on one in Melbourne. And second the idea for partnering with boardstores, or even several of them together. Particularly those that have wider demographics (eg market themselves to surf, snow, skate, etc) would have amateur filmers from a whole spectrum of different sports and experience levels. I'm sure there would be a few TAFEs or secondary schools interested in this sort of thing too...

Most likely too late now, but one at Thredbo, in line with the Boardworld Shred would've been cool????

More and more am's out there on the hills, since the cheap helmet cam/standard op sys movie makers are owned by so many snow goers these days!!!!

Yeah that would have been cool Mizu.

Looking like we might go ahead with it around the sydney region, still planning at the moment, but check this out, these are the guys you'll get the chance to talk with!

Hi FMF
If you taking demographics, Canberra would be great. Canberra is central to regional interest. It is 2 hours from surf and snow cultures. Canberra has great biking and skating cultures and is geared up with good skate park and bike venues. It 1/2 way between Sydney and Melbourne. I hope the info helps
