Thredbo is Australia’s premier year round resort, boasting long runs, swift lifts, a mix of terrain parks and the biggest snowmaking system in the Southern Hemisphere. There’s 480 hectares of terrain to explore with long wide tree-lined runs, open bowls, smooth groomed or challenging off-piste.

Thredbo is set up for all levels of riders, whether you are clicking on the boards for the first time or an all mountain guru. Snow new-comers can take their first shaky slides on Friday Flat, the purpose built first timer area, with ease using the slow speed quad chair. Intermediates step it up a gear at the Cruiser and more advanced can tackle the longest runs and most vertical terrain in Australia.

A snow holiday needn’t be all about going downhill, Thredbo is renowned for having a great village atmosphere and that is why it is constantly voted number one for village fun. There’s are great mix of shops, eateries and conveniences right in the heart of the village and the après scene is full of bars for every occasion. Thredbo certainly has that true alpine feel.

Terrain parks

Thredbo’s terrain parks are all about progression so everyone can have a go. There’s a park for kids, beginners, intermediates, and advanced riders, plus a ridercross course to test your skills.

The full time terrain park crew keep the parks fresh by constantly creating new combinations with the boxes, rails, jumps and other original features. So whether you are a rookie rider or a well rounded pro you will find your feet in Thredbo’s mix of terrain parks.

Wombat World - for littlies who are learning to use park features. Cruiser Park - for beginners getting their confidence on a mix of features - jumps, rails and boxes. High Noon Park - for intermediates. Has a nice variety of features to develop the skills of intermediate park riders. Antons Park - this is for the more advanced park riders testing jumps, rails, boxes and other unique features. Ridercross - Central Spur full of banks, berms, tight turns and rollers.
